“The Moving Wall”, a half-size replica of the Washington, DC Vietnam Veterans Memorial, will be making a five day tour stop at Franklin County Recreation Park, Sept. 27 – Oct. 1. 

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial pays tribute to those who served in the Vietnam War and is one of the most visited attractions in Washington DC. The memorial is a black granite wall inscribed with the names of 58,286 American’s killed or missing in the Vietnam conflict. The Veteran’s names are listed in chronological order of when the casualty occurred with an alphabetical directory to help visitor’s locate specific names.

The Wall has been touring the country for more than 30 years since its dedication in 1982.The Moving Wall Vietnam Veterans Memorial is a beautiful opportunity to recognize the men and women who served and sacrificed their lives in the Vietnam War.

The event is free to the community and will be open 24 hours each day.
