Tab Benoit – Night 2 w/ Webb Wilder & the Beatnecks at the Harvester Performance Center
450 Franklin St
Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151
Tab Benoit is a Cajun man who’s definitely got the blues. A guitar player since his teenage years, he hung out at the Blues Box, a ramshackle music club, where he learned the blues first-hand from a faculty of living blues legends. Since the early ’90s, he has done his best to maintain a commitment to his Cajun roots. This commitment was evident in 2002 with the release of Wetlands – arguably the most authentically Cajun installment in his entire ten-year discography. He has since released 10 more albums, and won dual awards at the Blues Music Awards.
Webb Wilder & the Beatnecks
Long before there were Kings of Leon, Keys of Black or Whites of Jack in Music City there was a riddle spewing prophet of roots rock and roll. A bluesy blast of baritone, equally versed in two glorious worlds, Rock and Roll. He is a force on tour. He is the last of the Full Grown Men and Roots Rock Royalty. A native of Hattiesburg, and a member of the Mississippi Music Hall of Fame, Wilder crafted his signature brand of “Mid-Atlantic” (British and American) rock and roll, mixed with Country, Blues and Soul.
