The 17th annual Ramble Weekend welcomes outdoor enthusiasts of all ages for three days of awesome paddling on Franklin County’s Pigg and Blackwater Rivers, food, live music, and fun for the whole family!
On Saturday, May 18th the main event of Ramble Weekend begins on the Pigg River at Waid Park. The Creek Freaks of Franklin County will release hundreds of rubber ducks into the Pigg River for the Great Duck Race, followed by the much anticipated Pigg River Ramble – an eight-mile paddle down the Pigg River to Lynch Park for racers, or a four-mile leisurely float to the Rakes Road Bridge for non-racers. Shuttle service for boats and paddlers will be provided at the take out site(s). After the race, the festivities continue with an awards ceremony, delicious food and live music.
