Blue Ridge Institute & Farm Museum

  • At Ferrum College, the official State Center for Blue Ridge Folklore, highlighting folk traditions of western Virginia. The Farm Museum highlights life on 1800-era Virginia-German farmstead. Annual Blue Ridge Folklife Festival, fourth Saturday in October. A Major Venue along the Crooked Road.

    Hours: Galleries and store open year-round, Monday-Saturday. Farm Museum open weekends mid-May through mid-August or by group reservation any day, April through October.

Dairy Queen

  • The DQ Band performs Thursdays, September through May, from 9 a.m.-10 a.m. Other musicians are welcome to participate.

Harvester Performance Center

  • A new, mid-size music venue in downtown Rocky Mount showcasing live performances by local, regional, national, and international artists in a variety of genres. J&J Hall

  • The Blue Spruce Band performs Tuesdays, from 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Buffet food served at 8:30 p.m. Band featuring “sit-in musicians” follows from 9 p.m.-10 p.m.
