Agriculture

Know the meaning of farm fresh? Now taste it in Franklin County! Agriculture has been a prominent element of Franklin County’s history for generations. Tobacco was a leading crop and the county was one of Virginia’s leading dairy producers.

Today, century farms, roadside stands, farmer’s markets, alpaca farms and canneries help to make up the stunning array of agricultural experiences found in Franklin County. Visit our welcoming local farms, savor homegrown goodness with a farm-to-table feast at local restaurants or have a hands-on experience picking your own fruits and vegetables.
